Donald Oakes is the founder and owner of Mainely Makers, a unique woodworking maker space in West Kennebunk, Maine. With a lifelong passion for woodworking passed down through generations, Donald’s craft has spanned from early carpentry projects to intricate designs like church doors. His career took a heartwarming turn when he opened Mainely Makers in 2025, fulfilling a shared dream with his late son, Jameson, who tragically passed away in 2024.
